For window cleaners

Window cleaning route planner for your iPhone

Lapsheet is a route planner for solo window cleaners: add the day's houses, tap Optimize to put them in nearest-next order from where you are, then work down the list with one tap to Apple or Google Maps for each drive. No account, no GPS tracking, free to start.

A window round lives or dies on drive time. Ten minutes lost between each house is an hour and a half a day, every day. The fix is boring: group by area, then do the streets in a sensible order.

Lapsheet does the second half for you. You decide which houses are on today; it puts them in order and hands each drive to Maps. It does not plan repeat rounds every 4, 6 or 8 weeks yet. If that matters to you, tell us; it is the next thing we would build.

Plan a window round in five steps

1. Split the round by areaGive each day a patch of town. Houses on the same estate or the same few streets go on the same day, so tomorrow's drive is short before you even optimize.
2. Add the day's stopsType the name and address of each house in Lapsheet, with a note for anything you need on site: gate code, ladder access, side windows, pay-on-the-day.
3. Tap OptimizeLapsheet sorts the stops by nearest-next, starting from your current location if you choose. It uses the internet only to look up addresses.
4. Work down the listTap Navigate for turn-by-turn in Apple or Google Maps, tap Done when the house is finished, and the next stop is waiting.
5. Keep the notesChecklist items and notes stay on each stop, so next time you are at that house you know about the dog, the conservatory and the tricky top windows.

Route planner vs paper list vs Google Maps

Google Maps will drive you to houses in the order you type them; it will not reorder them. A paper list never knows where you are. A run-sheet does both.

Window cleaning route planner — FAQs

What is the best way to plan a window cleaning route?

Split your customers by area so each day covers one patch of town, then order each day's houses nearest-next so you never double back. Lapsheet does the ordering step; you decide which houses are on today.

Can Lapsheet plan recurring window rounds?

Not yet. Today you add the day's stops yourself. A repeat-every-N-weeks option is the first thing we will build if window cleaners ask for it.

Does the route planner track my location?

No. It can use your location once to start the route from where you are, in the foreground only. There is no background tracking and no account.

Does it work in the UK, Ireland and Australia?

Yes. Lapsheet is on the App Store in 175 countries, and addresses are looked up worldwide.

What does it cost?

Free to download with a real free tier (up to 20 stops and 3 route optimizes per session). Pro removes the limits for $7.99 a month or $59.99 a year in the US, one flat price per company; other countries see their local App Store price.
