Pool route app and Maps — FAQs

Can I plan a pool route in Google Maps alone?

You can add stops to a Google Maps route, but it caps the number of stops in one route and does not keep a saved list of your pools with notes. A route app keeps the list, works out the order, and then passes each stop to the maps app.

Which maps app does Lapsheet use?

Your choice of Apple Maps or Google Maps. Lapsheet works out the stop order; the maps app does the turn-by-turn driving.

Why not build navigation into the route app?

Apple and Google already have live traffic, lane guidance and up-to-date roads. Re-building that inside a small app usually makes it worse, so Lapsheet hands off instead.

Does the hand-off track my location all day?

No. Lapsheet does not run background GPS tracking for an office dashboard. The maps app only navigates while you are driving to a stop.
